I've been good these 2 weeks. Saturdays and Sundays have been spent at home to be able to finish up more stuff. Only on Fridays did I allow myself to go out.

I've managed to finish up an assignment and in the midst of finishing another by tonight. No matter what time I have to sleep tonight, I have to finish it up. I guess this is the sort of discipline one has to have when at NIE. No compromising with oneself regarding personal deadlines. It's a good thing that it's going to be an e-learning ("e" as in electronic) week next week for most subjects so we do not have to attend most of the tutorials. However, more assignments will be put up in the portal in lieu of this e-learning week.

Good luck.

Watched Wall-e on Fri. It's a really cute and entertaining show. He's so endearing and adorable! For a robot, Wall-e sure has lots of emotions going on in his heart (does he have one?) and his metallic head.

That show is a must watch~

Last night I actually slept from 1.30am till 2pm today! Ok, as usual it's not a continuous thingie. I woke up at 11am to get to the washroom and dropped dead on the bed again. Still feel a little tired now.

A few nights ago, I had a really strange dream. Dreamt that I witness a murder or something with a person's head falling off from the neck. Hahaha... now that I put it this way, it sounds kind of funny. Then another part of the dream was also really weird. I dreamt that it was the day of my wedding! Guests have all arrived and I was at the venue. I backed out at the last minute due to cold feet. Now that was shittier compared to the head rolling one haha... When I woke up, I was so relieved to find myself still unmarried and free.

It's not the first time I had such a dream. A couple of years back I dreamt of myself backing out too but it's at a different venue. I supposed it's creepier now since I'm of a more marriageable age and people will soon be asking me about it.

No lesson goes by without my tutor mention We*h**. "-_-

Makes me feel like I have to create an outstanding piece of work by the end of the lesson. He explained to us today why he would like us to finish within a particular time he stipulates during each lesson. Reasons being to make us manage our time and second, because primary schools only have 2 periods/ week of art lessons. Meaning time is very limited and we have to make the most out of it. In a way it's a good thing because it mean we don't have to spend time dwelling too long on the art work of the week plus there's no art homework to bring home to do.

It's another rainy day and the clothes on the bamboo poles are still hanging up there in the kitchen. But I love such weather~ Nice and cooling... won't get sweaty. Not that I mind sweating but if I'm going to be out the whole day doing boring stuff (read: lessons) then there's no point feeling sweaty on the way there right? LTs and tutorial rooms have air-con though.

I slept at 10.30 last night and got up only at 8.30. No I didn't actually sleep 10 hours straight. As usual, I woke up at strange hours of the night (or dawn?) and wonder if I was in dreamland to have the opportunity to not have to go to school so early. After that fleeting thought. I went back to slumberland.

I wanted to go to Daily Scoops yesterday after school coz we ended early yesterday. However, because I felt nauseous after the bus ride from my beloved campus to Uncivilized station (Boon Lay MRT station). I decided to be good and study at home instead. Managed to get some things done but wouldn't consider it a productive day. Whenever this happens, I would wonder why I'm still wasting time when there are so many things waiting to be done. After which I would feel like kicking myself or slapping myself to wake myself up haha...

Today's the 2nd time I've been to The Daily Scoop. After having a haircut, I decided to pop by that place again to see what flavours they have today. They do not have the same flavours everyday, I don't know why. Maybe with so many flavours they have, it's not practical to produce all everyday (yes, they make their own ice cream). Secondly, I think sort of like a strategy to get people to pop in often since they may not get to try the desired flavour on the day they went. The chocolate ice cream I had was rich. It's dark chocolate ice cream and very flavourful. The same goes for the strawberry shortcake ice cream. The strawberry flavour wasn't overwhelming and there're strawberry seeds in their plus bits of shortcake :)

Do go there if you can afford the time coz it's pretty out of the way for people who do not live around there or do not own their own transport. The waffle combi (waffle plus 1 scoop ice cream of own choice) cost about $5.20. Same for brownie combi :) It's a round solid scoop. Yummy! Maybe next time I'll go for the waffle combi instead of the usual double scoop.

It's drizzling when I was in the shop which made it even cozier. However, not long after I sat down with my order, people started streaming in (I notice that's always the case.. maybe I bring people to shops...) and started chatting unnecessarily loudly. The place got too noisy for my liking and I left earlier than I would like to although I brought my course reading there. Perhaps a weekday afternoon there would be a better choice if anyone is thinking of going.

4bia is the new Thai horror movie in town. The title involves a wordplay "phobia". The "4" represents the 4 short stories in the movie. Certain parts quite scary coz of the usual sound effects. But what scared me most were the screams that came from some girls in the audience. They screamed over many scenes. Piercing screams that could be part of the movie.

It's comedy plus horror and some scenes were kind of funny. Quite worth watching if you're keen on some laughs and enjoy frightening yourself over horror scenes ;).

Every morning, going through the routine of being shoved at Boon Lay is the start of a not very much looked forward day. Upon reaching Boon Lay MRT station, people (both white-collared and blue-collared workers) will try to shove their way through the doors of the train even before passengers alight. Such a situation isn't this obvious at other stations but at Boon Lay, those people who want to board don't give a shit about your angry stares either. It's like their ONLY aim in life is to grab a seat on the train. That is simple pathetic and shameful. Gracious society by the time the Youth Olympics arrive?

Dream on.

Unless 1) visitors are blind 2) a miracle happens.

This gives me the impression that Boon Lay isn't a good place to stay with so many uncivilised people. It lowers the poor image people already have of that place (being an industrial area) and I'm not the only one feeling this way mind you. Worst are those white-collared workers who dress up nicely in office attire and still behave like shit. Working at Shenton Way wouldn't improve your image one bit my dears.

*grouchy grouchy every morning*

These days I just push my way out as roughly. Allowing them to go pass you will only encourage this sort of behaviour and I don't want the train doors to close before I alight.

Grrrrrrrrr..............

We've just received the latest assignment. If only it's an essay and that's it. We're required to individually create a podcast of ourselves and in it, we have to talk abt whether we agree or disagree with something (in the question). Supposed to make use of what we've learnt in our 4 lectures plus all the readings.

Oh my God...

Podcast... Recording ourselves talking for 3 min and not just talking nonsense mind you... but must have substance. After which got to upload online for everyone's viewing pleasure.

Why must things be made until so complicated. I really don't see the rationale behind doing certain things. Many a times, things are made complicated for the sake of appearing as interesting. Novel. Many a times, things are required to be done for the sake of having it done. Nobody knows the reason behind doing it. Questioning wouldn't change anything. So all of us can only curse and swear at the back.

Machiam all of us sit and shake legs at home after half day of school only?

The last time I had to do a short speech during lesson alone was during my Effective Communication tutorial at NUS. There was a recording done at the same time. It's the most traumatizing thing ok? Oh no. Sorry that's not the last time. The last time was when Mediacorp wanted to do an interview regarding my grandpa. Now, strangely, that wasn't as scary because I was free to air my views and personal thoughts while at the same time, knowing that any shitty part would be edited (read: cut off) from it made me feel more at ease.

Starry Starry Night...
Paint your palette blue and grey...

I'm thinking of doing on Da Vinci's Starry Starry Night. It's rather cliche I know and that's the only thing that's making me reconsider my option. One thing about choosing that is that during the presentation, I can create a different feel by maybe play the song Starry Night to get everyone into the mood. Now, that would be a very different and fresh idea wouldn't it? At the same time, I hope to replicate (or modify) the painting by doing my own smaller scale version using oil paint.

I remember Art Club at JJ once did a banner by using paint to create an replica of the painting. It was great from what I remember now. The strokes... the banner...

Question is, would I have the time to do the painting? :(

I never knew the day would come whereby I would wonder if a meal is filling enough to last me until the end of the day haha but yes, these days I will think of such things and also wonder what I should ta bao for later on.

Always hungry!

Anyway, today our facilitator (not the tutor facilitator but our fellow classmates/grpmate who's also the leader) was so generous to actually treat all 23 of us to pizza hut! 4 boxes of large pizzas and we wondered among ourselves if he was secretly given a pay rise or something. He bought us all cute magnets too @_@ Haha.. Something really pleasant to remember along the way.

The table tennis match was a spectacular one! It was so exciting especially during the 2 first individual sets whereby Spore took the lead. Eventually Spore could not maintain the lead and subsequent sets saw China moving closer to the Gold.

As said by someone, it must be a great feeling to be able to excel in something one is interested in and be recognized for it by everyone :D

Lao Pa Sat has become kind of hip with a live band there haha... They actually have a quite big stage on top of the drinks and dessert stall. Today they played songs from the 90s (played meaning played CDs haha) and only sang when people wanted to dedicate songs to others. It's a refreshing place to go to if you are sick of the usual Orchard or City Hall areas. When we were there at 9, the place wasn't crowded at all (which is good). That place may not necessarily have all the good food there but if you want music while having dinner and still pay hawker price food (ok maybe slightly more than NORMAL heartland hawker centres), then that's the place to go to. It's machiam like a pub with the band there blasting music.

Conclusion: Art teachers are thin.

This suddenly came to my mind as I was sitting there staring at the Art tutor. It's a she today. Pretty lady of simple elegance. Skinny too.

Then I thought about the guy tutor we had yesterday. He was skinny too. And then my mind shifted to Chia. Thin too!

It's like there's this malnutrition thingie going on and every one of them is aiming to be the next posh spice.

I'm so happy with the fact that when I left school today, the sky was still bright. It's not often that we have this privilege.

I must be more organised.

I must be more organised.

I must be more organised.

I must be more organised.

I must be more organised because I have lots to do.

I must be more organised because I have lots to do concurrently.

I must be more organised because I have lots to do concurrently this year.

I'm hungry again.

Going to the children's section at Jurong East library was a traumatizing affair. Messy place with people all over the place... on the floor... blocking the way... hogging the catalogue search machines. Bishan library was better. Might be the fact that Bishan is an estate with more educated people? Haha...

Anyway, glad that I managed to find a couple of picture books to read to the class on Thurs. Still trying to decide on 1 :D

Last night I dreamed of a connection (shan't elaborate) and also of exploration at an unknown place (must have been the after- effects of the movie Journey to the Centre of The Earth). Resulting in forgetting to attend a tutorial in the dream (must have been the subconsciousness working overtime).

Someone made a so-called prediction not too long ago. She told me something and that has been on my mind ever since. It's something that in the future, I could easily tell if it came true or not coz it's a direct prediction. Nothing abstract to interpret. No beating about the bush.

As for now, just wanna concentrate on my studies.

Grrr... it's so frustrating when people can be on time for early morning tutorials (8.30am) but when it comes to group meeting in the morning (9am), people don't bother to be on time. It's extra frustrating when we could only meet until 10am to settle something needed by Friday, after which we had to go for 10.30 class which was at the other side of the campus.

Just plain selfishness and inconsideration.

Hello? Everyone wants to have extra beauty sleep alright? "-_- Staying relatively nearer doesn't automatically make it natural for me to be on time. After all, I too need more than an hour to reach. It's just a matter of whether one wants to make it a point to be on time or not.

Grrrrr........

Irritated.

I tried Pokka's melon milk today in school thinking that it would taste disgusting (yes, I bought something to find out how disgusting it was) and surprisingly it tasted quite good! Not sickening sweet nor did it have a strange, artificial aftertaste. Trying out things injects life into an otherwise mundane and long day.

I'm still often hungry. It's so embarrassing when my stomach growls during lectures or tutorials when strangers are sitting beside me. Wonder why the food get digested so quickly. Not like I run 2.4km everyday. It's just sitting there and listening.

Thank goodness for someone's car. We had the time to check out JP to look for something for Project Runway. But well... in the end, we didn't find what we wanted at JP either "-_- haha

Wonder if McGriddles should be part of my brunch tomorrow :P Yummy!
