I've always felt that I look better when I'm tanned. It gives me a healthier look no doubt but since about 2 years ago, I've been starting to use sunblock on my face under my makeup. I still do not like the sticky feeling of sunblock on my face but I guess one will get used to everything if it's applied often. Ok, more important, sunblock can prevent premature aging of the skin and with moi approaching mid-twenties, the humble and rather affordable sunblock has become an essential part of my life. Gone are the days when I suntan on deckchairs :(.

However, I still stop short at applying sunblock on my arms and legs. The stickiness makes me feel dirty all over and makes me want to rush to take a bath "-_-. This mentality.. I've got to change!

Anyway I was reading the blog of mediacorp makeup artiste, Andy Lee @ http://andyleemakeup.blogspot.com and he actually mentioned that he had this habit of applying sunblock even when he's at home. That's kind of extreme don't you think? But it's not the first time I've heard of it. Once when Dr. Georgia Lee who looked and was probably a model in the past (now owns her own clinic doing aesthetic-related stuff on patients at Holland V), mentioned that even when she was in sec school, she had started applying sunblock.. face.. hands.. and she's super fair. I don't know if it because she's simply blessed with extremely fair and smooth skin but yes, she's already in her mid-thirties and her skin still looked fantastic when she was on TV.

Just for those of you who are curious, Andy Lee recommended Shiseido Anessa sunscreen SPF50+/PA+++ & Lancome UV Expert DNA shield SPF50/PA+++ because of their non-stickiness, non-oiliness and non-whitish finish. However, the downside is that you would have to use a makeup remover at the end of the day to remove the above because normal cleansers do not remove the UV protection ingredients in the sunscreen!!

So powerful? Hahaha... Anyway, to those who are getting married soon. In future, do remember to remind your future daughters to apply sunblock from a young age so that hopefully, they will have fair skin :D Pretty pretty... ;P
