A friend and I were talking about going out of the country this year but I'm not sure if it would materialize. I don't really wish to wait until December. I've reached a stage whereby I need something to look forward to in the new future. New future being defined as just a couple or at most a few months down the road. I just hope there is sufficient time for us.

It was a visit from YW and WJ to my house to bai nian in the afternoon. Speaking of CNY, when I was watching the horoscope part of the CNY eve show, the geomancy guy was talking about how this year is supposed to be a good year financially for those born in the year of the dog which is what I am under. The relatives from my dad's side tend to gather every year at my grandpa's house. It's also for convenience because red packet exchange can take place all at once without having to make multiple trips whereby you just keep stuffing yourself silly to avoid making too much small talk. When I came back at night to count my "loot", I realized someone actually gave me the wrong red packet. Why? It contained far too much money already. Actually $80 lah but then my cousins and aunts would at most only give $12 and I'm sure that wasn't given by my grandpa. Just couldn't remember who gave that to me. I double checked with my brother to find out if he received the same thing but realized it's actually a mistake by someone. Anyway, I hope this isn't the only windfall for me this year hahaha...

In the evening, we headed for Charm's house whereby it's another round of stuffing since dinner was provided plus all the other goodies. Good food plus hospitable hosts, what more can one ask for? :D

To digress, watching movies is just too expensive on weekends. Prices of tickets have increased again to a ridiculous price of $10 "-_- Hello? It's ok if one is watching like LOTR or other major productions which have majestic scenes but if it's for something that's in the end not worth to even watch, one would feel like slapping oneself for burning up 1 $10 just like that.

To digress again, I heard that Ah Meng, our dear iconic Orang Utan at the Singapore Zoo has passed away yesterday at the age of 50 with children and grandchildren. May he rest in peace and if there's a next life, I hope he can still be a celebrity whether it's in the form of an animal or human. I wonder if they would use another Orang Utan to pass off as Ah Meng or not since no one would be able to tell the difference anyway...

When I was walking home just now, I realized that an accident has happened along the highway opposite my block. A car actually crashed not into the green metal grill in between the roads but it actually mounted on the grill. "-_- I really wonder how the driver could possibly have done that. The position's simply unnatural and even the direction it's facing didn't tally with the direction that the cars were supposed to move on that side of the road. I hope the people who were in the car weren't seriously hurt. There's no ambulance, only a police car, probably to alert oncoming cars. Speaking of accidents, I realized that the accident rate during this festive season's really quite high. On the 1st day of CNY, I actually heard a bang when I was at my grandpa's house on the 17 floor (which goes to show that the bang was really loud). I think a taxi hit the back of another taxi or car. The front driver came out and made some hand gestures while talking to the back driver. He's super agitated. What a thing to happen on such a day. When I saw that scene, it reminded me of what YW told me about her dad. I actually knew about 3 accidents in just 1 week. Sigh...
