After tonight's relief tuition, what I can conclude is that boys really are the naughty bunch unless we are talking about the introverts. It was 2 hours with the Primary 5 pupils. A mixture of pupils from different classes whose parents have signed them up for the tuition program in school. It's not free. I've realized that when you want your child to have extra lessons, it's never good to enroll him in an environment he's super familiar with because the desired attention (desired by the teacher of course) is never there. The girls were better. They were genuinely there to do their work and would even clarify their doubts.

Being with the older children allows me to sharpen my wits. The boys can be rude (not to the extent of being offensive though) and cheeky so one has to be sarcastic and fast in one's reply to their rudeness. Haha...

Those fellows were afraid of ghosts "-_-. Right after the lesson they started scaring one another with comments about the supernatural. Reminded me of my primary school days too whereby there were rumours about a witch at the nearby plantation. One story which I still remember vividly was that there were 3 beautiful women in the guy's toilet who were combing their hair. Wahahaha... It tickles me now when I think of it but of course at that time, it was just totally creepy. Brought back fond memories of the primary school days of mine.

Anyway, I was super glad I was able to remember stuff I learnt in the past. It's no joke to be requested to stand in without knowing in advance what these older children do these days. However, the OM's a really nice and helpful man and he's desperate to find someone who could stand in so I agreed to it. It really pays to be nice in your work environment (for his case) because you never know when you would need anyone's help.

Now back to marking haha...
