It's such bad luck to have something like that happening and what's more, it's on CNY eve. I would have expected a fast food restaurant to have more stringent checks to ensure that the food is of uncompromising quality and yet something like whipped potato could go bad. It's a pity I already bought the meal home so I can't possibly go to the branch, which was at Bukit Batok Street 11, to change.
It would have been more believable if it had been coleslaw which had gone bad since coleslaw is more sensitive to warm temperature. However, whipped potato? Either the batch had been left unsold for too long or the sauce had gone bad. Worst thing was I actually changed the coleslaw to whipped potato so in the end, I had to chuck off these 2 containers of side dishes and only ate the chicken and consumed the drink.
After I threw the 2 small whipped potato away, I called up the branch to complain about it and also to alert them to it in case they were to sell to more people. If anyone were to eat it without noticing and end up getting food poisoning during CNY, that would be even more sway. The staff who picked up the call offered to deliver it to me but I told her that I'm already back in Clementi. I don't know if anything will be done after they've checked it. However, there's no hiding it because I've also left a feedback on the main KFC website.
I also wondered if any dumbo customer discovered it earlier but chose to remain quiet after throwing it away. The taste was really weird. Wouldn't be surprised if that's really the case. Singaporeans will only say this and that when kenna food poisoning but if anything were to go wrong for them, they would only suffer in silence instead of preventing others from suffering the same fate.
So lunch was without the sides "-_-Labels: Food
