I haven't been to town so early as far I as I can remember. Furthermore, it's for a meeting. That's the first. However, I thought that it would also be good if we could start early and finish early and maybe go shop (individually) for what we should be getting for the party. It's a good thing a couple of the members weren't too late since I was starting to feel irritated. So we could discuss among ourselves first. Anyway, in the first place, the purpose of having it in town was to cater to a couple of those of live in the east so there's really no excuse for latecoming. Fortunately, we managed to finish in about an hour and a half and I had the rest of the day to look see around.
One new thing I have learnt was a pinata. Pronounced as Pi-nyah-ta. Perhaps I have come across that word before but haven't actually taken noticed of it. Anyway, even the sales assistant whom I approached at Toys R Us didn't know what it was even after I have described it to him. Don't blame him though haha coz I don't think Sporeans will buy such things. At least I think so lah... Anyway, he managed to ask his supervisor. While trying to choose a design (the pinatas at The Forum Toys R Us are located near the cashier, hanging high up), a little girl also looked on and told her mum that she wanted a pinata! Wah... maybe I was the suaku one (plus the sales assistant haha). A little girl (Chinese Sporean) knew what's a pinata!!! Well, her mum said no though haha...
Hey for something that's going to be smashed, it's not cheap ok? $29.95. The cheapest was also $24 and it was smaller. But it's going to be fun for the kids at the party. Or at least I hope it's going to have a xmas party mood since we're tight on budget. "-_- Very tight.
The starbucks at Centrepoint is cozy on a weekday (dunno about weekends). It's dim and the drinking/dining area is kind of enclosed, got to go up a short flight of stairs. Such a nice place! The people there were mainly working adults, caucasians and tai-tais? No noisy and childish teens unlike Far East whereby a group of teens was shouting vulgarities and laughing loudly at LJS. Even the girls in the group were openly scolding the words related to female... tsk tsk... Wonder why they don't feel ashamed using such words when they themselves are females. Very degrading @_@.
Any other nice and cozy places to share? Places that aren't too ex. to hang out at.
